My Work

It`s good to see that my work on the Schwinn Date Codes project has paid off. I created those Angelfire pages 10 years ago in Ames, Iowa USA. Really cool.

Hey, I see you allow copies with your permission... I'd love to copy the pages in to our tech section (with proper attribution / link backs / etc) - any issue?

Schwinn Codes Website

Hi, There was at one time three sites showing the full 4 page layout because they asked me and I sent them the html code. Since then, the pages got changed too much for my liking so I had the other two sites taken down and asked that they use a link back instead. So, now there is (should be)only ONE site that has the daily log. Only problen is harvested my work and pasted it into a PDF file and posted it on his website. It is attrocious the way he hacked it up into oddball colums that are completely sidorganized when viewing. There is also a south american website that stole the work complete and didn`t even change the email link so I keep getting emails I can`t read hahahaha. So, I disabled the email link on my site yet, the emails keep comming from stolen reposts of my html. My work was intended for the masses to copy it, paste it into a Word file and then print it out to keep or give away at the swap meet etc.

So, if you want to copy, paste and print, feel free, .... it`s free. lol A linkback posted on your website that direct Schwinn Date Codes seekers to My website is perfectly fine whether it is a link posted into a message like above, posted in the Tech Archive or even just in a list of resources links for Schwinn, But I have to say no to posting any form of copy of my pages on another website.

Ah, This makes me think of my old Schwinn Dealer Service Manual on CD pay it forward project. Hahahaha.

Too Bad!

Oh well, I totally understand. I just hate to see great resources disappear over time as service providers shut down, etc.

Thanks anyhow!

It Will Always Be

This info will always be on the web, even if Angelfire goes the way of the dodo I will be finding another host beforehand and put a redirect on my site to my new host.

Still, post a linkback for all your users to have handy access to it, the next best thing to hosting it. ;-) Guido

Thank you so much for taking the time to put it together! It's proven quite useful to everyone we know in the vintage cruiser scene - we're all the type who like to know the age and story of our steeds! :)
