Elgin, JC Higgins, J.C. Higgins, They're All Sears bikes, and all freaking awesome!! I love that the Firestone bikes are all the same frames too... It's too bad there isn't more information out there about these bikes as they totally kick ass. Yes, they're not quite as good quality as a Schwinn, but they're absolutely serviceable and personally I find they fit taller riders a bit better. One really could ask why AREN'T these bikes ruling the world about now?!?

Rain Rain Go Away

So far so good this week!

Wow, daylight! I remember when I could get home after work and still see the sun... seemed like so long ago...

After our Friday soaker I wasn't really feeling in to getting out in the rain again on Saturday so Amber and I gave Neil and Jason's Birthday Ride a miss. Sounds like it was a good ride - 40+ people despite the downpour. Charles scored big on the 50/50 draw winning both a BMX and a Stingray, good job Charles! Pays to play...

Anyhow on Monday evening I wanted to get out and catch a little of the sun before it was gone.  First ride for me since our time change (which is one of the dumber things I've ever been through btw!!)... We actually got to see a sunset!  Had Melissa, Jaime, Lynn, Don, Dylan, Kendal, Mad Dog and myself out, good times.  We didn't stay out too late as a few members of our party had to book somewhat early but we DID get to ride till the sun was gone.  Sooooo nice being able to cruise along the seawall watching the sky all lit up in front of you.  So good, reminds me of summer.

Last night I got in another good ride with Joe, Vitt and Logan.  Met up at the SeaBus and did one hell of a good hill climb ride.  Went east more or less to Commercial and climbed up to about 18th or so.  Cut across the city all the way to Arbutus just rolling along wherever seemed best.  Did the Burrard Bridge back downtown to the SeaBus again and I rode back up the hill home from there.  Thoroughly good workout and yet again the rain played along.

This whole week looks pretty good so far, at least through tomorrow.  Friday I'm not so sure about yet but here's hoping...
