Spring has sprung!
Wow, is the weather ever getting better!!
Last night was WARM - first night I've been able to wear shorts this year, awesome. Of course with better weather comes bigger turnouts - we had a good 20 some odd people right from the get go.
Keeping a bigger group together is always fun - especially since a lot of us have been riding a lot all through the winter. Keeping the pace reasonable for the group was a bit more of a challenge but we got through it after leaving some people behind at the beginning.
Rode out from the roundabout on over towards English Bay and waited to get the group all back together again. Didn't want to stop there too long - we headed on to the Burrard bridge for our first "real" stop.
Next stop was by the Casino (I guess we're calling it Rocky Point these days) - I won't bore with the details, it's in lots of other postings.
Headed over towards Stamps Landing from there... Had a fun little circle ride while we waited for the crew to get what they needed, in the Videos section if you wanna see.
Got ourselves over to Granville Island and stopped for a bit. There's a nice space between the hill and the building here that's sheltered from the wind and reasonably private. Good spot to spend some time!!
I personally wanted to head on to the Burrard bridge and roll on over but it wasn't the will of the group... So we did a reverse ride back towards the park. A few people were parked near the west end so we stopped by English Bay for them to head off towards their cars.
A few people broke off here and there, the rest of us headed back towards the park to finish out the night. Gotta play it out! Finally finished things off around 2am - George gave me a ride home, THANKS!!!! Another great Friday night!
