The 2007 Cruising Season is officially OPEN!!!
Yeeeeeeeee-haaaw!!!!
What a night... The weather played along super well, check out the clear skies above when we were meeting up. Great turnout too!!
So as we got rolling I did a count, we had 20+ bikes right from the start. More people kept rolling on in throughout the evening, no idea what we got to but definitely more than we started with. Couldn't believe how many people got out that I haven't seen for a while plus lots of new faces. Also a few Vancruisers.ca members out too!! Glad to see you guys...
Good times...
Took a while to get everyone collected so we didn't end up rolling out until more like 8:45. More like a summer ride... Rolled over to the gun, had some people with us that had never seen it before. It put on a good show as usual. Once the gun fired we moved on pretty quick... Had to climb the hill up to the upper path as the lower path is still closed for maintenance (I think the parks people have a lot of other stuff going on right now, they don't seem to be getting the SeaWall open any time soon)...
Water Park was a good stop - washrooms were still open, score for the girls! Nigel met up with us there, too bad for him we had to head back over the hill he just hauled himself over to meet us.
Got back over the bridge, Logan wanted to do some bike art on the fallen tree by the park entrance. Great idea!! We got 7 or 8 bikes up there all told - I shot a couple little videos while the bikes were getting up there:
Video 1
Video 2
Hehehehe...
Never caught his name but we had a rider show up on this sweet little Motocross-style bike... Check out, well, everything!!
Little micro suspension forks! The suspension is totally awesome, I think that would be hella fun to ride...
What next...
From there we cruised on over to the other side of the park and ripped on out to the gates. Joe and Vit got a great fire going, perfect as it was cooling off a bit. Luke's sound system kept us going, I don't even know HOW long we were there for. Also grabbed a little video of that too...
After a while it was getting on time to roll. Said goodbye to a few people while we were there, I personally couldn't leave the fire... Ooooo... Fiiire... Prettyyyyy....
And with that I bid you farewell... Amber, Melissa, Don and I headed on back towards Science World and split off from there. What a night, great times.
Footnote: While I was sitting here writing this the new drum brake for my Manhattan arrived!!! Wooooooot!!!!
