Elgin, JC Higgins, J.C. Higgins, They're All Sears bikes, and all freaking awesome!! I love that the Firestone bikes are all the same frames too... It's too bad there isn't more information out there about these bikes as they totally kick ass. Yes, they're not quite as good quality as a Schwinn, but they're absolutely serviceable and personally I find they fit taller riders a bit better. One really could ask why AREN'T these bikes ruling the world about now?!?

I'm Hooked!

Yeah, so I rode a lot this week.  I'm sitting here on Sunday entering 3 days worth of ride blogs - I've just been too busy riding to get at it!

Thursday was a rip... Totally nice out yet again, Mad Dog and Charles had been out riding all afternoon.  I rolled down to Science World for 8:00 to try and catch some of the nice weather, still feeling a little tired from Wednesday.

Melissa and her friend rolled up around the same time as Mad Dog and Charles so we got to have a quick hello... They didn't stay long (Melissa and friend) as they'd been out riding all day too but it was nice to say hi for sure.  Anyhow, Mad Dog, Charles and I hung around Science World for a bit - Dylan was coming to meet us from work and the plan was to ride towards him and meet up on the bike path.  Never happened - he managed to get there to meet up with us before we managed to get on our bikes and ride.

Charles had been planning on heading right to the SeaBus but we couldn't have that... Convinced him to stay out for a while longer and we finally rolled!  Ripped right along through False Creek to English Bay for our first stop.  Just chilled for a short while there and then picked up some beer at the Dover Arms.

From then on it was a rip to the SeaBus station for Charles.  We rolled back over towards the roundabout and then just RIPPED as fast as we could through Coal Harbor.  Awesome time - probably scared the hell out of anyone who saw us coming - 4 guys ripping along at relatively unsafe speeds on weird bikes.  I totally dig my Felt for that - 7th gear rocks!

Got in to the SeaBus just in time for Charles... 48 seconds left on the clock as he got in the door.  Perfect!

The rest of us rolled over to Crab Park and watched Charles motor away.  Stayed there for a little bit and then decided to head for home.  Not the longest ride but hey, after everything else through the week I didn't need too much!!  The 3 of us popped over the bridge and rolled up Main and then through Chinatown over to Science World.  Chilled back where we met up for a while and then headed our separate ways.  Total sprint ride - haven't gotten myself going that fast in a while!
