Elgin, JC Higgins, J.C. Higgins, They're All Sears bikes, and all freaking awesome!! I love that the Firestone bikes are all the same frames too... It's too bad there isn't more information out there about these bikes as they totally kick ass. Yes, they're not quite as good quality as a Schwinn, but they're absolutely serviceable and personally I find they fit taller riders a bit better. One really could ask why AREN'T these bikes ruling the world about now?!?

Momentum has a great article about riding in Vancouver, along with a photo of a couple of our members!

Vancouver isn’t your typical metropolitan center. Known for having a densely populated downtown core where many health and ecology conscious citizens walk or cycle to work, its lush mountains and glittering glass condos attract soul seekers, explorers and hedonists alike from around the world. Vancouver is a place where extremes often meet.

Yeah, I saw the photo and thought, "Great wheels!" ... literally! Nice photo and the "Guide to the perfect vacation in Vancouver by Bike" article on page 23 is right on the money. It's good to support bike-friendly hotels, restaurants, etc. I hope they do that for all the other cities they profile. I believe Portland is next so let's cross our fingers.
