Royal City Prototyping Ride - Round 2
On Wednesday's heavy pedal we did some prototyping for the Royal City ride. Last night since we just had 4 of us we decided to take another crack at it. Went pretty darn good!
First off have I mentioned I love my GPS logger? Only downside is I'm finding my laptop is a bit of a lightweight for Google Earth... I can run it, but I can only have GE open by itself. Grrrr...
So anyhow:
All and all the route went well. We did have ONE bad bit - by Burnaby Lake we ended up on an equestrian trail that SUCKED. It was all soft sand full of horse shoe prints everywhere - bumpy and super super soft, I felt like I rode harder on that one bit than the entire night. That won't be on the Royal City ride!!! I did some "I spy" on Google Earth today to see if I could sort out a better line, I think I have something in mind that will work. One or two more practice runs and we'll have it down pat...
It was just me, Ted, Bryce and Brian last night but that was a pretty good litmus test anyhow - I just gotta get everything Amber Approved and we'll be set!
