Seymour Demonstration Forest Ride
We had a GREAT time!! You shoulda been there!
Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to ride we go!
Our ride log is HERE, click to see where we went!
Got up after a great F-RIDE-DAY night ride and rushed myself downtown for a #210 - Upper Lynn Valley - pretty much the perfect bus to get up to the Black Bear Pub for our meet up. The bus ride was only about 30 minutes from downtown, really not bad at all. Thankfully there was a slot on the rack though - I would have been screwed if there were already 2 bikes on...
Didn't have time to grab breakfast so I ordered myself an awesome smoked salmon benny at the pub! Sure beats the Cambie!

One by one the riders rolled in till we had our full group - nice vintage collection eh? No, the mountain bikes had nothing to do with us... Lots of "surprised" faces seeing the cruisers around!

Got ourselves rolling out about 1:30 or so. I HATE the ride up to the park entrance, it's a super long grind but hey, you do what you have to. We made our first stop in the park at "Balloon Picnic Area" - we preferred the version on the right...

Lots of great riding through the woods - I mean how many places can you find this kind of scenery?

Doesn't this look like a great day?

Bikes and trees - I love it!!
We rolled back towards Rice Lake from here for our last stop, then back to the pub. It was crazy, we got out of the woods and there was a storm brewing across Vancouver - the weather had been fine in the forest the whole day!
Total ride was just under 35km but it's definitely a lot more of a workout than your "average" cruiser ride - if the Seawall tires you out then this wasn't the ride for you!
Some point I'll get the video together I shot, but for now it's out to enjoy the sunshine! Till next time!
