Elgin, JC Higgins, J.C. Higgins, They're All Sears bikes, and all freaking awesome!! I love that the Firestone bikes are all the same frames too... It's too bad there isn't more information out there about these bikes as they totally kick ass. Yes, they're not quite as good quality as a Schwinn, but they're absolutely serviceable and personally I find they fit taller riders a bit better. One really could ask why AREN'T these bikes ruling the world about now?!?

Sieze The Moment!

Once we get to this time of year you really have to grab those little opportunities...

Like I mentioned in a previous post we scored a couple more bikes so we've been super eager to go out. Despite what it's been like all day every single evening this week has been GORGEOUS out...

Yesterday we rode to the roundabout then doubled back, did False Creek to Kits beach in to Kitsilano and then cruised back towards VGH to head home. It was really nice out - smooth riding, not too many people around and an all around good time.

Monday was an abridged version of the same ride - we skipped the Stanley Park arm but stayed in False Creek area... The creek path is really nice when the wind is up - it's nice and protected so if the weather isn't ideal you can totally get some good rides in without being blown off the path into the ocean!

I guess what I'm getting at is there's still PLENTY of opportunities to get out there and ride - sometimes the best rides happen when you least expect them. We're lucky enough to live in probably the only city in Canada that you could really get out and cruise in mid-November without needing all your winter gear.

See you out there!
