Elgin, JC Higgins, J.C. Higgins, They're All Sears bikes, and all freaking awesome!! I love that the Firestone bikes are all the same frames too... It's too bad there isn't more information out there about these bikes as they totally kick ass. Yes, they're not quite as good quality as a Schwinn, but they're absolutely serviceable and personally I find they fit taller riders a bit better. One really could ask why AREN'T these bikes ruling the world about now?!?

Strathcona Loop, Maximum Cemetery Ride

A couple more rides - the weather is just too good to miss!

Monday started off terrible - rain rain rain, I DID bring my sunglasses to work with me in the morning though! By the end of work it had totally cleared up. Got an afternoon call from Mad Dog asking if we were game - you got it!

Rolled down to our meetup spot at Science World - just as we were heading down I got a call from Melissa saying her and her friend were out and about. Perfect! Got in there - had myself, Amber, Mad Dog, Melissa and her friend Annie.

While I'd been craving a Burnaby ride for a bit it wasn't in the cards that night. Instead we did a good ride looping through Strathcona... That worked great - VERY flat, found a new park to stop at complete with a kid's water park that made a neat little baby skate bowl and then headed North into downtown. Crab Park, Stanley Park, English Bay and back to where we started - nice!

Tuesday I was at it again... Met up with Clayton and Kendal to get my Burnaby fix on. The wind was PSYCHO all through downtown - huge dust clouds coming off all the construction sites, trash blowing everywhere, no fun. So we hopped on the SkyTrain out to Patterson and did something different!

We rode into Burnaby a little bit - Kendal and Clayton have a friend who lives in the area so we rolled over to her place and enjoyed a beer or two on the back porch. Eventually we headed out and got our ride on - we tried an alternate route back in that I actually liked a lot better than our previous route, with the exception of crossing Knight street. Still gotta work on that one.

Anyhow, going out again tonight - different people, hopefully a different route... I've really been digging this week so far - a couple nice smaller rides through semi-new territory. :D
