Elgin, JC Higgins, J.C. Higgins, They're All Sears bikes, and all freaking awesome!! I love that the Firestone bikes are all the same frames too... It's too bad there isn't more information out there about these bikes as they totally kick ass. Yes, they're not quite as good quality as a Schwinn, but they're absolutely serviceable and personally I find they fit taller riders a bit better. One really could ask why AREN'T these bikes ruling the world about now?!?

Quicky posting... A few more nice days we've taken advantage of...

This'll just be a quickie post - I've got some pictures from Sunday still in my camera but they haven't found their way on to the computer yet.  Instead I'll point you over to Big John's photos of the day over here...

So Sunday was gorgeous out - met up mid afternoon as a few of us weren't awake yet after being out till 2:30 in the morning the night before.  LOTS of people everywhere, not so fun down by the sea wall so we headed through Kits way and then up into the surface streets.

Spent most of our time riding up in the residential areas - got ourselves across the Arbutus ridge around 13th or so - should have stayed a few blocks lower till we were over that but oh well, next time.  Got up into Shaughnessy area and rode around the ritchy ritch houses.  Eventually rode as high as about 28th avenue, along past Riley Park and then bombed down Ontario back to where we started.  John was parked by there so he took off for home, I rode with Chuck and Mad Dog back down to Waterfront to finish it off.  Good LONG ride, quite a few hills but that's what you need to get the blood flowing.

Was out again last night - got pretty dang cold once the sun was down all the way.  Rode from Science World out to about the end of Spanish Banks and then back up through Kits.  Ended up lending Dylan my Hampton since he's still got no crank on his Kustom Kruiser.  Nice little group of us, nice easy ride.  Totally clear last night - the moon was lighting everything up big time out UBC way where the city lights aren't so bright.  Melissa is recovering from getting her wisdom teeth yanked so we wanted to keep the hill climbs and such low - not good to stress yourself a bunch when you've got fresh stiches.  Oy...

Fun never stops, I'll probably be out again tonight - Amber bought herself another bike yesterday so all the more reason!
