Up to Coaster Brakes
Rode my Hampton today for the first time in ohhh... a year?
The Hampton has a Komet Super (otherwise known as a Sachs Torpedo), one of my favorite single speed coaster hubs. Why do I like 'em? Because the brake is about 2x the size of most other hubs and the hub shell has about 2x as much metal. They can take a LOT of downhill before they get too hot.
