Please Help Me Date This Bike.

Unfortunately I don't have a photo on my office computer but, I recently bought a 1977 Ladies Raleigh Frame. The Chain guard says "Transit". Unfortunately I'm unable to find anything on "Raleigh Transit" bicycles. The Raleigh catalogue from 1977 has nothing on this bike. Although, the frame looks basically identical to the '77 Raleigh "Tourist". (Lower right side of photo)

I guess what I'm trying to say is, does anyone know anything about the "Transit". Does this even exist? Any insight at all would be very helpful. This is my FIRST project bike and I want to start off in the right direction.
